Couldn't find Daerrandir's personality, also given the armor system and hit points of creatures, going full Dex Armor was a mistake. Question is, what would you guys rather see, another (more effective) archer ("bowbarian") or a bard (failed singer turned storyteller). Either way, if you remember me from Legends, bringing back a bit of Connor (though dif)
Edit: Also, what are the reroll rules (after two events)?

Everyone gets a free reroll I believe. You seem very effective with those arrows, but there are only a couple of bards in the entire town and more wouldn't hurt.
The armor system is very powerful, while I can barely move I do have a lot of armor to soak up hits. Barbarians can in fact wear any armor they want as well, so you could be a ranged barbarian with tons of armor if you wanted.
Despite how powerful armor is, this is the first heavily armored character I've played at a larp and it can certainly be a pain.

I guess they made it take longer to repair armor due to how powerful it is, so that's something to keep in mind. Armor is still great of coarse, you just can't repair it during a battle now, which was kind of silly.

I find Dex Armor to be sufficient. The only time I have died was when I was cursed to have no in-game skills (including dex armor and staff) and diseased so that I only had one bp.
The key to working with Dex Armor is knowing when to back out and having friends. Magical armor and other beneficial spells can be vary handy. Befriend a mage and/or a bard and you can get some cool "buffs".
Even if you get dropped, the best place to do so is behind the big heavily armored PCs (which is a good place for an archer anyway). This way a healer can be called and you'll be fine with a little stretching to get back your dex armor...

Will you be able to tank like Thoradus? Heck no, but you'll be able to survive long enough to skidaddle...

Issue is cost...for fun, i looked at how many aims I could have without dex armor, and the number more than doubled.

Ah, well that's just a trade-off between how survivable you want to be and how much damage you want to throw around... You can either stick with the dex armor now and just pick up aims where you can or switch and pick up dex armor later on... *shrug*

If you do decide to go bowbarian, you should talk to matt. He wrote up the barbarian culture that he's from as well as a few rival ones.

you can also do 1 free rebuild rather than a full on reroll- if its only a few stats you want to change

Was thinking of going highlander-esque (black watch kilt), so if there's anything about who would look/sound like that (kilted and glaswegian), let me know, that way we can, you know, match n'all that.

Or you could do what I do......if your armor is broken you could have like bracers and greaves you can easily take off in 10 seconds and then be able to use your dex armor. I maxed out my health and have a tiny bit more and armor.......however even without armor, the dex armor is handy. Yes, like Tarathielle mentioned.....knowing when to back out and have your friends help you is key. If you feel like you took more than you needed too, back off.....get healed and stretch (50 seconds for 5 points of dex armor is nothing to cough at either......takes a warrior 5 minutes to reset 5 points of their armor).
I usually break groups up when I have just dex armor on. I fight carefully when this happens and if I take 5 normal hits, or a critical or a 5 damage spell......I run away and stretch for 50 seconds then jump back in. If its more than my dex armor.....I wait until I get hold of a healer and stretch before I jump in. Also if your physical endurance is better than your enemies.....they wont keep up with you with melee attacks. Also hard to hit a moving target with packets or arrows too. Also there is nothing from stopping you from wearing armor too, any class can do it......some classes just don't prefer it. However, these are just my thoughts on dex armor.
If I were doing a "bowbarian" build, stock on aims, get thrown weapon and of course archery. You can now have criticals for cheap with arrows and throwing weapons. Pretty nifty. Don't worry about endurance in the start as much since you will be keeping distance. Also if you are deciding on a spell......you could get bless weapon and use it on a melee weapon. Or if you are really worried about distance between undead foes......you could get sanctuary. The only downside is the mana cost (20 build for a barbarian to have 15 mana.....to use it once per reset or you could get 5 bless weapons per reset aka 25 minutes of ass kicking). I would rather get bless weapon and maybe a body stabilization incase you do get dropped or you need to negate a killing blow. It would be interesting if you could bless an arrow or a throwing weapon. A "critical" light throwing attack could deal some serious damage in one instant to an undead......but you would probably maximize your damage with that enchantment on a melee weapon.

On a quite side note.....Tarathielle......you actually died before? I don't think I have ever seen you fall in combat before. The only time I was even close to death was I actually was killing blowed by NaughtJagers this game but I was fortunate to have Copperware cast a body stabilization on me and also have the high priestess of the temple of light cast one on me as well. Very lucky.

You also can't add smithing enchantments to dex armor, only actual armor can be made masterwork and grant further benefits, not to mention a wealth of special materials. The only downside of armor is it's heavy and needs to be repaired. I assume some kind of superior leather armor stacks with Dex armor, almost all larps have a light armor that stacks with dex armor in that way.
Just some things to keep in mind.
Maybe I'll see if there is a tailoring skill next, make some armor for mages.

On a quite side note.....Tarathielle......you actually died before? I don't think I have ever seen you fall in combat before. This was some time ago. It was the fight between myself and Mugthar. Again, I was also currently unable to access any in game skills. As such, no magic, no staff, no dex armor. And I was also diseased at the time, so I couldn't be healed beyond a single bp.
