This sounds horribly illegal so lets spread the word to everyone that we are looking for a dead body!
I think the town guard should be looking into this. Oh wait... I will be.

don't worry, if it was illegal, I wouldn't have posted it on a public board. also, there's no mystery that the guard needs to investigate, we know the cause of death.

What strikes me as odd, is your want for the corpse of a child. What was his cause of death?

This sounds oddly like some sort of nechromancy...

Necromancy? T'Char and his companions are well-to-do folks.
In fact, early one morning during one of my stints in town, I awoke to the caustic, agonizing yelping of some foul creature. When I approached my window, however, I saw that it was simply a small bird which had somehow harmed its wing and was unable to take flight. Then, as if conjured by some divine force, T'Char emerged from the wood-line. I watched as he tended to the wounded creature, and sure enough, the bird flew away with such unrivaled grace that I do not expect I should ever witness anything of such delicate beauty ever again.

In truth the child was the victim of a Shadowbinder's ritual. We were attempting to discern the best method to cleanse the body of any chaos taint and provide the child with a proper burial.

A sad revelation. I hope that you find him, that his burial be used to represent all those who have lost their lives to the Dark One and who can not be laid to rest so peacefully.

This does sound like a dastardly deed indeed! I shall notify the church of light at once that there has been a kidnapping and murder of a poor innocent child, I hope no other children go missing and/or get turned into food.
Funny story! A few moons ago I was resting in the Tea Weevil and a couple came in offering me an exotic dish. After I tried some (it was disgusting and tasted like vomit) I learned that they just made me ate ground up human baby. They fled before I could apprehend them and punish them but if it helps the investigation I can give you their descriptions.

The sisters of grace are aware of the situation. May the Light have mercy on our souls.

I witnessed this "baby" food as well. I was quite repulsed...
