Hear ye, hear ye!
Thaydon’s Rest recognizes the following statement as an indelible and unimpeachable truth: By right of Blood, Queen Sauleen is the rightful monarch and ruler of Kyranthia. All legitimacy and authority claimed by His Majesty Killian Waker is derived solely from his marriage to the Queen and solely with her ongoing willing consent.
The following are implicitly illegal activities; any person found guilty of these crimes will be given an appropriate punishment, decided by a Noble or Official. Crimes are not limited to this list, as the Queen and Nobles decide if something that is harmful to citizenry is a crime. The mere attempt of any of the crimes listed will be considered the same crime as if the attempt was successful.
Arson, Burglary, or Vandalism
Assassination or Murder
Assault with intent to kill
Casting Void
Conspiracy or Treason against the Queen
Forgery, Counterfeiting, or Fraud
Kidnapping or Slavery
Piracy, Robbery, or Theft
Poisoning
The Following are explicitly illegal activities; any person found guilty of these crimes will be given a specific punishment:
Embroilment with Chaos
-Individuals discovered with the ability to cast Chaos; shall suffer one death
-Individuals discovered with Chaos scrolls, Chaos potions, or magic items empowered by Chaos; shall suffer one death
-Individuals observed having inappropriate communications with an enthromancer; shall suffer one death
-Individuals found in attendance of any Chaos meeting or ritual; shall suffer one death
-Casting Chaos; shall suffer one death for each instance.
Any individual that comes forward with contraband or confesses any wrongdoing in their involvement with Chaos may receive a pardon from any punishment. These local ordinances apply to all citizens of Thaydon’s Rest no matter where they travel. All crimes committed abroad by the citizenry of Thaydon’s Rest will be prosecuted as if they were committed within the confines of Thaydon’s Rest itself.

Possession or Use of Illegal Substances
If a citizen evades the punishment handed down by a Noble or Official after being caught or sentenced for a crime, they are considered an Outlaw, and when caught they will be put to Death. There is no common code of punishment, though Fines, Public Service, Dismemberment, Death, Marking, or Confiscation of Property are the most common. Each case will be decided by a Noble or Official and the sentence will be carried out swiftly and according to the severity of the crime. Repeated offenses may lead to being branded as an Outlaw and an Enemy of the Crown.
