The infamous merchant Sebastian hangs upside down in the middle of the air. His feet are holding him up on something with incredible strength. This gives the illusion that he is hanging in the air with nothing holding him up. His yellow scarf covers his whole head except his eyes. He eyes the letter that all have seen. He scans around the room. He waits to hear every person speak in the conversation. Sebastian smirks slightly when he hears Copperware try to promote to everyone present. He notices his assistant Segora watching with caution in the corner of the room near Copperware. He just lets out a disapproval of the whole conversation with a simple grunt.
"HMPH. What a bunch of crap."
He backflips off from where he was and lands on the ground gracefully. His left hand touches the ground and he gets up from the position he was kneeling from.
"Personally, both groups have helped the town out with various gestures and acts. T'char for instance helped me a few times when I was diseased by undead. Ciru, Citanul and Vallon allowed me to take over a shop after proving that I could run it efficiently. They accused me of stealing from the shop but my intentions are honest then as they are now. I was eventually proven innocent, as I was not the real culprit. Everyone knows that story."
Sebastian eyes Ulrich but in a way that is giving him some closure on the whole incident. Basically saying he forgave him and its time to move on.
"Copperware, Segora and I have little affiliation with Citanul and his group, if any. Our group has no involvement with current affairs on their end."
He gives off a cold hard stare at the letter, then stares at Citanul's group. He nods out of a very neutral respect he has with them.
"While I disagree with their methods, I still am on neutral ground with them and the rest of the town. I am a merchant, my relation needs to be as such. However, at least their group admits wrong doing. They also showed up, which puts them on way better ground even if what they are saying is the truth to be known. T'Char has not even made an appearance, he posted a letter which would put him on solid ground however he denies any wrong doing saying Citanul and his men have lied. He also said they met up with the Gideon, which is probably the only thing that might be true. Gideon is in a different league than the Lich, despite both being the definitions of corruption. But Citanul's group just openly admitted they freed the Lich. I will say, at least there is some honestly with Citanul's group. I am not sure about T'Char or his group."
He pauses for a moment knowing full well everyone might hate him for things he is saying.
"Lets go out on a limb here. I am just going to throw this out there. Both groups could just be evil for all we know. But what happened then, happened then and cannot be undone. Everyone needs to stop having a stick up their arse and move on. The only thing that can be done is deal with what could happen now and in the future. So this is what I suggest. We will know the true colors of our 'allies' by dealing with the problem at hand. Whoever does not want to show up and help Kyranthia deal with this, should be considered an enemy, arrested. Given a fair trail and hopefully be executed for treason. If we all stand together, we cannot be matched, no matter how great the threat may perhaps be."
He walks up slowly to Mugthar and stops a foot in front of him.
"After all, we all die some day. If those who wish to not assist us with the problem want to be cowards, they will live as cowards and they will die as cowards. I am sure you understand that very well Mugthar. I hold the highest of respect to you and your crew for your services to Valdarin's Gate and the land of Kyranthia. If you need us to assist you with this situation, you can definitely count us in. Do you disagree with my methods?"
Sebastian looks around the room and glares at everyone
"Do ANY of you disagree with my methods?"

Vallon shows a smirk as Sebastian speaks.
"Oh, but you misheard, Sebastian. Ulrich freed the lich. He coerced my poor friend here to help him. Ciro is a victim, brutalized by the devilish undead magics that Ulrich used against him."

Sebastian added to the conversation once again. Slightly annoyed Vallon might have corrected him, he made an attempt to explain what he thought was a correct summary.
"But never the less Vallon, even if he did do it under threat of his life......he still did it. Never the less........the lich has returned. That is the problem. If Ciro and the rest of your company really want to prove your innocence in all this...you have a new chance, just like everyone else here. Mugthar is determined to work in defending Valdarin's Gate and I will stand with him with my company and his company. That bravery is to be commended and honored, he has taught all of us the meaning of unity in this small town. Yes I have been told not to fight as a weakling by him many times and that hide and seek tactics are for weaklings who are scared."
Sebastian goes back to looking at Mugthar by looking for his shoulder.
"Mugthar.......I know you will never fight like I do. I am glad you don't. I am horrified every time I go into battle but I find the bravery within and laugh during battle hoping I live to see another day, all this knowing while I could die at any second. I would like to use these hide and seek tactics, that make me seem like a weakling against the lich, to lure him into a trap when he rolls into town....with your permission of course. When the trap is set, we are done talking with the lich.....we can end the whole conflict in an instant. But I will need your help! If the lich is brought down for good, the crimes can be pardoned for all present at the destruction of this undead lord. This is the only way we can do this and see some closure on the whole thing. I mean is it wrong to use such tactics on a being so powerful has brought a violent wraith down on many? Many of which will never return ever again. Is it really wrong Mugthar if my tactics are not done with malice and hatred but with bravery, courage and compassion for fellow man and all races alike?"
Sebastian pauses to think for a moment then changes the subject for everyone to witness
"Speaking of unity of the town.......I am pleased to announce there will be a hunt in the next moon. Many small tokens will be hidden around Valdarin's gate in small containers. We may have some outside kingdoms to assist us with presenting prizes for the hunt. The Tea Weevil will be handing out prizes as well. I just think this would be a wonderful idea to loosen the town up a bit before we have to face reality of what may happen."

The intensity on Mugthar's face diminishes into one resemblying exasperation and confusion and he stands awkwardly as Sabastain says his piece.
"Uh not approve of tactics... never said stop. I honorable warrior and faces foes directly. You not, use tactics of my greenskin kin; Goblins. Understand this very well. Let conlift of others lay as is, they deal with later. T'char is in High Wizard tower with Moroth anyway...."
"Can keep conversation to Lich as asked? Trying to determine if anyone knows anything different or more then said thus far. Wise bloodbrother Moroth says; information is weapon just as blade. Sometimes smaller blade better find purchase in enemy armor, just so want make sure all information availible so we use against Lich. Anyone know anything not said in T'char's letter? Or anyting more or different in case we wrong about what think know?"

Sebastian understood that T'char was now in the High Wizard tower with Moroth. But he really wanted to drive home a point that everyone would agree on.
"I don't think anything different is going to be said. However, you said sometimes a smaller blade finds a way in enemy armor right? The reason I asked about my tactics and if it was honorable.....again if we trap the lich, he may reveal weaknesses without asking him. You never ask an enemy what their weakness is right? But maybe we don't even need a trap, maybe we don't need to catch him off guard for a split second. I'm saying because I will try to surprise him.....he may do something out of desperation that he normally would not do. Then I could help you fight him directly if you wanted. I mean..... even I share more honor than this enemy we face. This is about lives at stake. Would that still be dishonorable?"
Sebastian adds one other thing as well but looks around to see if more people are really listening.
"By the way......the tax collection in this town is a joke. I paid all my taxes like everyone else and the guards of the town watch just decided to run away. They did this after shutting down the Temple of Light. I wanted to keep that up but I think it would be a great idea if we get the Temple of Light back up. They have powerful followers of the light. The rest of the money our crew spent was to help citizens get whatever they needed such as scrolls and potions. We could only help so many people at once. Who actually supports us in Valdarin's Gate, that would be a great asset to our cause?"

"So what do you propose we do then Sebastian if we can even succeed in luring the Lich into a trap? Destroy him? Are you not understanding the purpose of a phylactery? And what of the Dark Fae nobles? What do you plan to do with them? Could you even kill one on your own?"
He pauses and takes a breath.
"And let me clarify, while initially fun to go a long with, it's become frustrating and annoying. Ciro's comments were nothing more than satire. They were sarcastic remarks mocking the baseless claims of the men and elves present here... and well half-elf. No, Ciro and Ulrich did not free the Lich."
He turns to Mugthar.
"Mugthar, I wasn't witness to what the Dark Fae nobles could do. Do you feel as though they could be fought directly?"

Mugthar looks relieved when Vallon says his name and looks over eager to move back to the subject at hand. However when he hears the actual question he sighs, when he speaks his voice is quieter than ussual and betrays his unease with the situation
"...no... no victory to be had fighting Dark Fae Nobles direct fight."
He pauses in thought recalling the chaotic melee
"Realize not everyone know full story Dark Fae Nobles: They arrive say they serve Lich. Viscount not there, Only council members was Moroth who was unconcious, I stood in represent Council. Tell me they rule Valdarin's Gate now and we their subjects were weak, poorly orginized, need improve. They asked if have Champion, I said no. They told me find Champion, I ask who will be champion. Richard showed great courage and stood forward to represent us. Fae say that if he is Champion he must be mighty and asked if he could best me. Never back down from Challenge; I fought him won. Fae told me that I champion and serve them, I said no. They told me would kill Richard if I didn't bow and used dark magic cause terrible pain. I attacked them....fight for long time. Many times they cried out filling my head with false fears. One struck always to drain a mage's magic from him often with immense power, another struck very hard many many times. All seemed unharmed no matter how many times strike them. Did so with Shadow-Reaver sacred blade Circle of Gyran. After long fight, they say I tenacious and prove self worthy, they say I pass test and worthy of being champion. They say they will return and changes will follow, one tell me that Shadow-Reaver has great power in it and if I knew how use could harm them, then they leave."
"They come back I fight then again, but no victory be had. Better plan must be made, learn more of Dark Fae, find weakness, way of fighting them first. Think Shadow-Reaver may help but only in hands of worthy chosen Palladin, true bearer of sacred blade not yet reveal himself to Mugthar. Mugthar guards blade until then."

"You kiddin' me right? I understand what a phylactery is. It contains the essence of the lich. As long as it is intact, the lich will regenerate and come back to life. However do you think the lich is stupid enough to have just one? I mean he could be an all mighty idiot for all we know at least that's what he might want us to think. But he probably has another phylactery somewhere else. He probably knew something like this would happen at some point."
Sebastian continues on, not pausing for a moment.
"If we can pledge a fake alliance with the lich, maybe earn his trust somehow. We could fool him into thinking that there are "insiders" in the town, these "insiders" would give him fake information about our strategy, defenses, layout and so on. I am honestly surprised he has not killed all of us already. But I am more surprised at how frustrated the lich must be in attacking us and failing to end us. After we earn his trust, he might be able to have us "guard" where he might be keeping his essence. Then we would just destroy it. He would have to slip up at some point and say something he didn't intend to say. That would be the only chance I could see of making this work."
Sebastian paused now, waiting for harsh disapproval from the gallery. He continued
"We could also make him think he has no control over his undead by having clerics hide and control the undead. This could create the illusion that he is losing power and it might drive him away. The only flaw in this plan is all the clerics we need have lost their temple. We first have to get the temple of light back up. It will greatly improve the town defenses and vastly improve our chances for survival."
The merchant prince walks back and forth between the crowd of people thinking. He had no confidence in this plan with the way things were going. He was willing to risk his life to save this place he now called home. Nobody seemed to care in his mind except his company of friends. Anything beat going back to the desert on the run due to a crime he was framed for. He started to wonder how his father was doing. He quickly focused back to the discussion on hand.
"The Dark Fae can be dealt with. I only get one shot to deal with them, so I need some time to observe and come up with a strategy. Also.....if we get the temple of light, there might be a chance they can a Paladin as well."

Mugthar frowns at most of Sabastian's speach, but he nods almost approvingly towards the end.
"Sabastian seems forget, Valdarin's Gate have no defenses, no strategy, the layout is as is. We collection of few, not fortifed army. Think Lich not kill us because not try to. Lich can, he prove that to Lord Ironforge. He not do since for reason, what reason is know not. He not actually attack ever to my knowledge, his undead did but from what Lich can do that not even trying. Doubt Lich frustrated, only twice thrawt him at all: first by using Shadow Wyrm, second by hiding Light Artefect, both temporary small victories at best. Not understand magicks, or foul corruption that is Lich and phylactery, not nearly as well as you it seems. That said, fools hope to think Lich reveal vulnerability to anyone, not when he has undead he controls directly. Sabastian make many assumption that may prove fools errand or even fatal mistake, but this converstaion Mugthar seeks have."
"Not undersand why think Dark Fae be dealt with? Why think this? Why think have one chance?"
"Doubt temple help with Lich or defenses of Valdarin's Gate, but should re-open anyway if can. Temple of Light bastion against Shadow: our souls vulnerable without Light's protection. That all Temple good for really but important enough warrent restoring. Temple no help with finding Palladin I seek, I will know him when he reveals himself, he may even be one of you; but if so that person not ready, I will watch and wait"

"I think that the lich underestimates us. Yes, he did do away with Ironforge. A shame to say the least. We warded the lich away twice, so he definitely has a weakness other than the phylactery. Prehaps when we find a hole in his defense, we will find the phylactery. We will find it over the course of many moons anyways, if that time is allowed. But he may come at any given notice. Thread carefully when in pursuit of the lich. Moving on."
Sebastian takes a sip of a cup that Segora handed to him. "Thank you.........what is this? This is brilliant."
Segora whispers into his ear, Sebastian laughs. He then keeps sipping away but sets his cup on a nearby table of the tavern. He starts talking before he starts walking back over to Mugthar.
"Dark Fae have an advantage but it also happens to be their greatest disadvantage. Magic. However, they work for the lich, in return the lich works with them. They are all strong as the lich it seems. The lich must have some kind of bond with them where if something happens to him, their strength is essentially sapped. Defeating the lich, could weaken the Dark Fae serving the lich if they have some connection where for instance they share his power. I think they share a connection. Even if the lich regenerates back......it will be harder to draw from his strength if the lich is occupied with growing his body back and not focused on giving his powers to his men. It takes time to grow a body. Many years for mine. While it won't take years, there is that window of opportunity we can strike into the Dark Fae."
Sebastian used a subliminal message in the middle of the conversation, drinking more of the drink he had earlier "Get this drink."
He then continued onward and smiled.
"So, if we can get the Lich again like we did with the Shadow Wyrm or the Light Artifact and we can get his men with him.......they essentially will have nothing to draw from once he is weakened or vanquished for the short duration. If a mage has all of his magic drained, he is just another person like everyone else, and the same might happen for the Dark Fae without their 'master'. Before we can do that though.......we need to petition the Temple of Light back or get it back by force. I would say getting the Temple back is the simplest objective, so let us make that our primary mission. I will fight each of the undead fair and square and it will be easier for the whole town to do so with me if we have the Temple back."
Sebastian started to stretch and warm up by moving his body around randomly with swift movements. These movements looked like those of animals. Natural. He then stopped and glared back at everyone.
"I'm ready, what about you? I will consult some of my contacts. Individually we will wither up and die. Together we will rise up and emerge victoriously."

Copperware listens carefully to the many viewpoints and arguments at hand, knowing of the litch but not really what a litch's abilities might be.
"Now Mugthar I don't know much about litches, the only time I saw one I was dropped by a hoard of undead and nearly died. I would consider myself mediocre as a combatant, though I will say the town has my mace and my spells in fighting off this menace. I have been spending a great deal of time researching on the nature and orders of the holy palidans, I will also keep my beard to the ground and let you and the town know should I come across any information or equipment that might be useful in our future battles with this creature."

"Full disclosure, Citanual has met in secret with the Shadow Binder Gideon. Full disclosure, when we as a town first sturck down the Liche, Citanual and his men remained behind and pleaded with the Liche's minions stating over and over that they were on HIS side and that they had made a deal with him. I do not lay claim as to knowledge as to why Citanual is in league with Shadow Binders and Liche's but, I am not the enemy. The enemy is indeed among us and it is the one who has been clumsily attempting to manipulate every resident of the town to his own machinations."
"Ah yes I remember that I did stay behind same as you and same reason we both tried to loot the lyches stuff. However unlike you I was kill on site by them and tried to convince them otherwise. worked for a few minutes till they chased me out. Im sure you remember that if you want to.
And yes we all met with Gideon I donated money for the ritual even though I didnt take part in it. Seemed like he didnt want my help. I found it weird being as he was supposed to be a godly man and I was with the Order of the White Hand. None the less I let it happen hoping I was wrong with my unease. And last time I saw him was last time I was in town. And first thing I did when I saw the town was fine with him just hanging in the tavern was attack him and attempt to make him leave. And that we did, plenty of the town was there. But nice try and I apologize if something I said about you want true but you see how things can be twisted accidentally I truly have tried to ally with you on many occasions I dont know if trust will ever be there giving your groups going records. Mugthar's eyes narrow and his voice lowers dangerously
"Citanul, not contribute discuss what done about Lich or Dark Fae, then Mugthar not care. If want fight do elsewhere, sick of arguing. We not able even TALK about Lich without infighting; how we defeat Lich?! If can't stand together perhaps should root out cull those who spread infighting disease amonst Valdarin's Gate. Even if Citanul speak true about T'char, Citanul also says he knows much more that he not share. T'char shares what it is he knows, right now he helping much more in my eyes than Citanul. You want help? Focus task at hand, share what you know, save grievence for when matters."
